Moldova: Published list of toy safety standards

As of 30 May 2021, manufacturers and importers of toys in Moldova are required to conform to the published list of Moldavian standards that are equivalent to the harmonised EU standards regulating toy safety. The list was adopted by Order No. 39 of 31 March 2021.

The list of standards consists of 16 positions and includes:

SM EN 71-1+A1:2018 on mechanical and physical properties (equivalent to EN 71-1:2014+A1:2018 )
SM EN 71-2+A1:2014 on flammability (equivalent to EN 71-2:2011+A1:2014)
SM EN 71-3:2019 on migration (equivalent to EN 71-3:2019)
SM EN 62115:2010 on electrical toys (equivalent to EN 62115:2005),
SM EN 71-7+A2:2018 on finger paints (equivalent to EN 71-7:2014+A2:2018 ), etc.

The Order also contains a note that for climbazole (position 22 of Table B.1 Annex B of the standard EN 71-7: 2014 + A2: 2018), a presumption of conformity is applied for concentration of up to 0.2% (rather than 0.5%).
