The Government has decided to conduct an experiment on marking new pneumatic tyres with identification signs. The experiment is to be conducted from 20 June 2019 to 30 November 2019.
The purpose of identification marking of products is to prevent any unlawful market circulation of these products in the Russian market.
The purpose of the experiment is to test the available technical solutions that could be used for labelling tyres with identification marks and to set up an efficient interaction mechanism between state agencies, including enforcement agencies, for the purposes of monitoring market circulation of tyres.
Participants of the tyre circulation market (i.e. manufacturers, importers and distributors) can voluntary participate in the experiment. In order to participate in the experiment, they are required to complete an application form based on the Methodical Recommendations which are adopted separately.
After the completion of the experiment the identification marking of tyres will become mandatory (the exact time frame is to be approved separately).
