Starting from 1 March 2018 manufacturers and importers of electrical and electronic equipment into the Eurasian Economic Union are required to comply with the adopted Technical Regulation (TR) restricting the content of hazardous substances in such equipment (“the EEU RoHS TR").
As of 23 December 2016 retailers of non-food alcohol-containing products with the content of alcohol exceeding 25% (except perfumery products and glass rinsing agents) are required to suspend all retail sale of these products for a 30-day period.
The Ministry of Finance has proposed draft law that would require certain products (the exact lists of these products are to be adopted at a later stage) with special identification and tracking marks (RFID).
The declared aims of this requirement are to protect the consumer from counterfeit and illegally imported or manufactured products and to unify the procedure of product tracking.

Rosprirodnadzor (the Russian environmental authority), has approved, by Order of 11/24/2016 №756, a number of measures to be performed in order to create the Common Environmental Polluters Register.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology (MinPrirody) has proposed amendments clarifying that if a company operates at least one facility or unit that is subject to the federal environmental supervision (as opposed to regional environmental supervision), the whole company would be subject to the federal environmental supervision.
According to the clarification of the environmental authorities (RosPrirodNadzor), office operators that only generate and accumulate waste are not considered “environmental polluters” of any of the four categories and therefore, are not required to be registered in the Environmental Polluters Registry.
Safety Rules for the operation of main pipelines transporting liquid ammonia
As of 6 June 2017 facilities operating, constructing, designing, renovating or liquidating main pipelines for the transportation of liquid ammonia, have to comply with the adopted industrial safety rules.
As of 21 May 2017 manufacturers and importers of packaging and packaged products packaging, are required to comply with the amended provisions of the EurAsian Economic Union Technical Regulation on the Safety of Packaging (TR TS 005/2011).
As of 1 January 2017 consumers demanding a non-scheduled inspection (by market surveillance authorities) of companies that have allegedly infringed their consumer rights, are first required to demonstrate that they have tried to apply directly to these companies in order to try and rectify the situation.
