Russia: Workplace Risk Assessment Procedure

In Russia, every employer is required to regularly (at least once every five years) perform a compulsory workplace risk assessment.  This is called a Special Evaluation of Working Conditions (the SOUT) procedure.  The SOUT must be performed for each workplace operated by the employer (including workplaces where purely administrative or office tasks are being performed).l

Eurasian Economic Union creates legal framework for plant quarantine

The members of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) approved the Unified list of products subject to quarantine in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU); the common quarantine phytosanitary requirements to regulated products and quarantine objects of the customs border and customs territory of the EEU; and the common rules and norms regulating ensuring plant quarantine in the customs territory of the EAEU (EEU).

Russia: Proposal to amend insurance requirements for major hazard installations

 

Draft law proposed by the Bank of Russia represents the amendments, which have been included in the Federal Law "On the mandatory civil liability insurance for the owner of a major hazard installation against any harm caused as the result of an accident at the major hazard installation".
