Appointed the official EPR Operator
The official Extended Producer Responsibility Operator in Kazakhstan is the Limited Liability Partnership “Operator ROP”. The appointment is effective as of 1 January 2016.

Adopted Law on the Use of Atomic Energy
Law № 442-V ZRK of 12 January 2016 on the Atomic Energy Use enters into force on 24 January 2016. It applies to all facilities operating sources of ionising radiation, including security x-ray devices and electro-physical installations and sealed sources of ionising radiation. Operation of such devices requires a licence.
The law also regulates record-keeping and monitoring of ionising radiation sources, imposes occupational safety requirements for the personnel as well as environmental safety requirements, etc.

Published list of medical contra-indications to driving a transport vehicle
Starting from 24 January 2016, persons affected by a number of conditions will not be able to operate a transport vehicle. The list of absolute contra-indications to vehicle driving includes schizophrenia, dementia, etc. Relative contra-indications include (for manual gearbox vehicles) – foot deformity that significantly affects its movement, certain types of amputations, etc. Relative contra-indications for automatic gearbox vehicles include a missing limb.
