As of 1 January 2018 organisations generating certain types of wastes or those operating landfill sites will not be allowed to submit such wastes for landfill or to landfill them. The banned types of wastes contain useful components that must be utilized.
As of 1 January 2018, it will be prohibited to landfill 67 types of wastes, as of 1 January 2019- 109 types and as of 1 January 2021 – 182 types of wastes.
According to the published draft law, organisations that perform assembly, disassembly, operation (service and repair) of lifts, lifting platforms for disabled persons, passenger conveyors and escalators (except escalators used in the underground system) would have to submit notifications to the authorities on the mentioned activities. The notifications must be submitted within 6 months from the date when the draft law enters into force.
As of 20 August 2017, all organisations that apply for a pharmaceutical registration, must compile a dossier in accordance with the adopted revised requirements. The revised requirements were adopted by Order No. 409n dated 12 July 2017.
The proposed draft Decree would add several types of products and packaging to the list of products and packaging subject to the extended producer responsibility (EPR). In particular, draft Decree would add the following types of products and packaging to the list:
As of 1 January 2018, organisations that emit regulated hazardous substances into the ambient air, have to use the adopted methods for calculating the dispersion of air pollutant concentrations at the height of two meters from the ground level and at the distance not exceeding 100 km from the emission source as well as for vertical distribution of air pollutant concentrations.

Asof19 July 2017, importers and manufacturers of products subject to compulsory certification, are able to use a foreign declaration of conformity in order to fulfill the compulsory certification requirement. The amendment to the procedure of compulsory product certification provides the possibility of a foreign conformity declaration being acknowledged by the Uzbekistan authorities.
Uzbekistan has adopted and published a number of food related technical regulations (TRs).
Technical Regulation on the Safety of Milk and Dairy Products. The TR applies to all milk and dairy products released on the market of Uzbekistan. The TR was adopted by Decree No. 474 of 7 July 2017 and enters into force in 18 months from the date of its official publication.
As of 25 January 2019, importers and manufacturers of oil and fat products, including animal and plant fats, are required to comply with the requirements imposed by Technical Regulation (TR) on the Safety of Oil and Fat Products.
The requirements imposed by the adopted TR apply to all food and non-food fat and oil products, such as plant and animal oils and fats, mayonnaise, distilled glycerin, plant oil spreads, household soap, etc.
As of 1 July 2017, organisations have to complete a reduced number of statistical reporting forms.
As of 1 September 2017, manufacturers and importers of fish and fish products (e.g. raw fish, caviar, etc.) will be required to comply with the provisions imposed by the Technical Regulation on the Safety of Fish and Fish Products (TR EAEU 040/2016).
