Adopted Technical Regulation on the Safety of Pharmaceuticals

As of 27 April 2017 organisations manufacturing, handling or selling pharmaceuticals in the territory of Uzbekistan are required to comply with the adopted Technical Regulation. The Technical Regulation imposes requirements for the manufacture, labelling, packaging, transportation, storage, sale and disposal of pharmaceuticals.

For the purposes of the Technical Regulation, “pharmaceuticals” are defined as products generated, based on medicinal substances and auxiliary substances, medicinal substances, medicinal preparations admitted for use in medical practice for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses as well as for changing the state and functions of human body.

Uzbekistan ratifies  ILO Convention 87

Law No. ZRU-412 of 25 October 2016 ratified the ILO Convention Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise Convention.  The Convention establishes the rights of workers and employers to establish and join workers’ and employers’ organisations. They may choose any organization of their preference without previous authorization.
