Decree No. 284 of 9 April 2016 sets the rates for product utilization (environmental) charges, within the concept of extended producer responsibility (introduced in 2015). The charges are set in roubles per one tonne, for each of the 36 relevant product groups.
The environmental charge is payable by manufactures and importers of these products that are not performing utilization of the products themselves. The charges are set for one year.
For example, the charges for “computers and peripheral equipment” are set as RUR 26469 (approximately EUR 360) per one tonne, paper and cardboard packaging - RUR 2378 (approx. EUR 32) per one tonne, etc.
