As of 1 January 2020 food manufacturers are to be able to market their products as “organic” only if these products comply with the adopted law on organic food.
The adopted Law defines “organic products” as environmentally clean agricultural products, raw materials and food the production process of which complies with the Law on Organic Food.
As of 1 July 2018, declarations of conformity with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Technical Regulations are subject to a revised procedure for registration, suspension and termination.
As of 18 July 2018, a revised regulation on conformity assessment modules (applied to certification, declaration and product registration) entered into force in the EAEU. The conformity assessment modules are to be applied by manufacturers, importers and persons authorised by manufacturers in order demonstrate product conformity with the requirements imposed by EAEU Technical Regulations.

As of 4 August 2018, manufacturers and importers of products subject to the extended producer responsibility (EPR) are required to follow the revised procedure of annual reporting of products and packaging placed on the Russian market.
The amendments to the existing procedure clarify that the goods and packaging exported from Russia are not to be included into the total quantity of reported products.
As of 22 May 2018, the Ukrainian Technical Regulation on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (“the Ukrainian RoHS) was amended. The amendments move forward or remove expiration dates for a number of uses of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. The amendments also clarify that expiration dates for some exemptions are to be set by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
EurAsian Economic Commission Collegiate adopted a Decision that lists products subject to the Technical Regulation on the Safety of Packaged Drinking Water, Including Natural Mineral Water (TR EAEU 044/2017). The Technical Regulation (TR) enters into force on 1 January 2019.
The Decision adopted by the EurAsian Economic Commission Collegiate sets that for 18 months from the date the GMO labelling requirement enters into force, products manufactured with the use of GMO but not complying with GMO labelling requirements may be manufactured and placed on the market.
As of 4 May 2018, organisations are to observe the revised occupational exposure limits (OELs) for 2495 substances. A Decree adopted on 13 February 2018 sets out maximum allowable concentrations (MACs) for 2495 harmful substances in the air of working zone.
The adopted revised OELs are compulsory for all types of organisations regardless of ownership and corporate structure.
