Import licensing for gravel, crushed stone and similar products

From 1 January 2016 to 30 June 2016 Russia has imposed compulsory import licenses for crushed stone, gravel, and the products the components of which are crushed stone, gravel and sand.

Russia: the Law on Standardisation entered into force

The Law on Standardisation in the Russian Federation No. 162-FZ dated 29 June 2015 partly entered into force on 29 September 2015 except a number of provisions which enter into force on 1 July 2016.

 Russia proposes compulsory certification of cement

The Ministry of Industry and Trade has submitted draft decree which aims to impose compulsory certification of cement in Russia. This requirement would allow to diminish the risks to human health and life as well as to private and corporate property and the environment.

Russia has banned “Palcohol” sales

Federal Consumer Protection and Public Welfare Service (Rospotrebnadzor) has announced that, due to the fact that the sale of powder alcohol (“palcohol”) has been permitted in several US states, it is possible that some distributors will try to release this product on the Russian market.
