Ukraine: Adopted Energy Efficiency Labelling Requirements for water heaters and water storage tanks

This Technical Regulation sets out the basic requirements for energy labelling of water heaters, storage tanks and sets of water heaters and solar equipment, as well as providing consumers with additional information regarding these energy-saving products.

The technical regulations apply to:

  • water heaters with a nominal thermal power of 70 kW;
  • storage tanks with a volume of 500 litres;
  • sets of water heaters with a capacity of 70 kW and solar equipment.

Ukraine: Technical Regulation on energy labelling of household ovens and cooker hoods

 

As of 12 December 2018, manufacturers and importers of household ovens and cooker hoods (extractors) are required to comply with the adopted Technical Regulation on energy efficiency labelling.

All cooker hoods and ovens placed on the Ukrainian market before 12 December 2018 that do not comply with the requirements of the adopted Technical Regulation, may remain on the market until 12 June 2019.

Ukraine: Amended expiration dates for the exemptions under the Ukrainian RoHS

As of 22 May 2018, the Ukrainian Technical Regulation on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (“the Ukrainian RoHS) was amended. The amendments move forward or remove expiration dates for a number of uses of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.  The amendments also clarify that expiration dates for some exemptions are to be set by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Russia: Adopted list of products subject to compulsory identification marking

Starting from 1 January 2019 manufacturers or importers of products included into the adopted List are required to ensure that these products bear the required identification marks. The list indicates when dates when the requirement to place identification marks enters into force for each product group.

Ukraine: Draft Technical Regulation on Ecodesign Requirements for Vacuum Cleaners

The Ukrainian State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving published, on 28 March 2018, a draft Decree that, if adopted, would approve Technical Regulation on ecodesign requirements for vacuum cleaners.

The draft Technical Regulation has been developed in line with the EU Regulation No 666/2013 on ecodesign requirements for vacuum cleaners.
