Ukraine: Adopted Technical Regulations on Noise Emissions of Equipment Operated Outdoors

As of 11 March 2021, manufacturers and importers of equipment that is to be used outdoors (including construction equipment) are required to ensure this equipment complies with the noise emission limits adopted by Technical Regulation (TR) of Ukraine on Noise Emissions of Equipment Operated Outdoors.

The adopted Technical Regulation has been drafted based on the EU Directive 2000/14/EC.

Russia: Simplified registration procedure for low-risk medical devices

As of 19 March 2020, importers and manufacturers of low-risk medical devices will have to undergo a separate registration procedure for such devices.

The amendments to this effect were adopted by Decree No. 299 of 18 March 2020 that amended Decree No. 1416 of 27 December 2016.

Russia: Sale of unmarked footwear prohibited from 1 March 2020

As of 1 March 2020, it becomes forbidden to sell footwear and shoes without the required identification marking.  Manufacturers and importers that all footwear and shoes produced or imported after this date have been labelled with the unique code that looks similar to a QR code. In order to sell any remaining stock to retailers or end users, it is required to label it with the identification codes.

We would like to remind you about the important deadlines related to the introduction of the mandatory labelling of perfumes and toilet water in the Russian Federation.

Until 31 March 2020, market participants (importers, manufacturers, etc.) are required to register themselves in the centralised marking system.
