As of 1 January 2026, the process of placing on the market and use of biocidal products in Moldova is to be amended. A Government Decision introduces amendments to Decision No. 344/2020, which approved the Sanitary Regulation on the placing on the market and use of biocidal products. The changes align Moldovan legislation more closely with EU Regulation (EU) No 528/2012 on biocidal products, as last amended by Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/1398.
As of 6 August 2024, organisations importing plant protection products, such as mineral fertilisers and other plant protection chemicals, are required to follow the adopted procedure to obtain a permit for such an importation.
A permit is defined as a document confirming the permission to import mineral fertilizers and chemical means used for plant protection (mineral fertilizers and chemical products) into the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As of 1 September 2024, organisations involved in the transit of dangerous goods through the territory of Uzbekistan will be able to apply for a transit permit electronically.
As of 7 January 2025, importers and manufacturers of certain paints and varnishes are required to comply with the requirements of the adopted Technical Regulation (TR) on the content of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

The entry into force of the EAEU Technical Regulation 041/2017 on the Safety of Chemical Products (“the EurAsia REACH” which is also called "Russia REACH") has been delayed again. It is likely that the TR is to enter into force around 2025-2026.
The main reason for so many delays is the absence of the adopted “second-level” legislation that would regulate chemical notification procedure and creation of the EAEU Chemical Registry.
The President signed the Decree on improving the uninterrupted supply of production processes with raw materials dated October 12, 2022 No. PP-392.
In accordance with the Decree, customs duties have been set to zero (until 1 January 2025) for some products that enter the territory of Uzbekistan under the customs regime that is called "processing in the customs territory".
